the snatch

I was supposed to post this the day after my bag was snatch... but here goes

As i am writing this blog, the one who got my stuff is probably having a feast. Yes, you read it right, THE ONE WHO GOT MY STUFF!... My sister and I are on our way to our company's 5th anniversary party. I wore a wonderful outfit care of my sister. We told our friends that we'd be attending. I had other plans for the day but it was all cancelled since I really wanted to attend the party.

We were seated facing each other. I noticed that the gay who was sitting in front was staring at me. I didn't bother since I thought he just liked what I was wearing. The jeepney stopped. All of a sudden a guy wearing a black hooded jacket grabbed my handbag. I tried to pull back, I didn't want to give it since the bag contained my money - worth 1,400 (not including my first paycheck which is 1,100), my ID's (SS ID, TIN card and 2 ATM cards) and my cellphone. He was too strong. I let go when I realized I can't pull back. I also got scared thinking he might have a knife. I stared at my sister, all she said was "ha'mo na..."

I was shaking. I didn't know what to do. "Gusto mo wag na tayong tumuloy?" My sister asked "Wag na..." I answered. We went to the nearest police station, as soon as I got down, the gay told me "ate, nasaktan ka ba? Pasensya ka na ha..." During that time, all I wanted was to have my stuff back. I just wanted the sim card, the memory card and my ID's. My sister called her husband then we went to another police station as the first station is closed - there we no policemen in it.

Here's how it all started...

Monday evening, my sister and I was on our way to work. She was telling me stuff about the company, the crowd, then all of a sudden she told me, "oo, tus 25th anniversary ng Coastal sa VA, 5th year anniversary naman ng Coastal PI. May party... di ko alam kung pwede umattend yung newbies, pero pag pwede, sama ka ha, punta tayo..."

Wednesday evening, the sales director discussed stuff about Coastal. He even told us that we could attend the party if we want to. I was still hesistant during that time for I had another party to attend to. The following day, I decided I wanted to attend, so I went to the HR Supervisor and asked for a free pass (which included the map to where the party would be held and 3 drink stubs). My sister was excited during that time because one of our colleagues told her that she'd fetch us just for us to attend.

Thursday evening, I was able to get a pass for myself as my sister already has one. I was telling all the other newbies to attend as this would be an opportunity for us to know the rest of the Coastal people.
Then Friday came, I was able to convince some to attend. I told them we could take this time to meet other people from our divisions. When Friday shift ended, my sister told me that she'd dress me up for the party. On our way home, we found out that Maila wouldn't be able to fetch us since she'd be going somewhere prior to attending the party.
I saw my sister's face - she was a bit disappointed. When we got home, I already know that she's hesistant already. I didn't mind, I still wanted to attend the party. She showed me what she wanted me to wear, I asked for a clutch or a small hand bag that I could borrow since I'd like to bring my phone and some mints.

We rested. Then the night we waited for came. I got dressed. While waiting for my sister, I took a few pictures since I wanted to post some for my multiply account. Before we went out, We were advised by my brother in law to take a cab since it was already late, we agreed. My grandmother asked us what time we'd be home, I answered "basta uuwi nalang kami" the way I usually answer.

While we were strolling my sister prayed "Lord, bigyan N'yo kami ng taxi ha."

We crossed the highway. The Lord did give us a taxi, however the driver didn't see us. We waited and hoped that another taxi would pass by. All of a sudden, my sister blurted out, "Ace sakay na nga tayo medyo masama kutob ko dito e." We then decided to ride a jeepney and go to Tropical instead to be able to get a cab.

My sisted told me, "basta pag sasakay ka, susunod nalang ako." Then she got busy with her stuff. Several jeepneys passed. For some reason, I was also hesistant to ride one. I thought my sister was in a hurry to get to the party, I then decided to hail the next jeepney that would pass by. There were no other passengers aside from the lady and the gay who are seated in front. We were the only passengers in the back. I told my sister "Wala akong barya ha, 100 lang" she answered "akin na..." she went near the driver then paid for our fare.

I hate snatchers...! I wish I'd be able to get my stuff back... :(
